CPD accreditation built around Irish training providers.

Independent course accreditation, clear standards, local support and a Provider Portal designed to reduce duplicate admin — an Irish-based alternative for providers who have traditionally looked to established UK accreditation services.

Why accredit with CPD Ireland

Accreditation is earned through independent assessment against the CPD Ireland Course Accreditation Standard. The technology supports that accreditation afterwards — helping you manage accredited courses, issue learner evidence and give learners records that can be independently checked.

  • Independent assessment against a defined accreditation Standard
  • Secure Provider Portal for submissions, tracking and released feedback
  • Your own editable public CPD Ireland provider profile and URL
  • Course-specific certificate, CPD Ireland badge pack and approved descriptor
  • Clear approved CPD hours and CPD Register listing where applicable
  • Digitally verifiable learner completion certificates included

Applying or paying for a provider plan does not guarantee course accreditation. Each course must meet the applicable Standard.

Built for real training providers

For training businesses, consultants and internal L&D teams that want independent quality assurance without adding unnecessary administration.

  • Training courses, webinars, seminars, workshops, events, eLearning and blended programmes
  • Clear published accreditation criteria
  • Assessor feedback when improvements are needed
  • One provider account for your accredited course portfolio

Built to reduce duplicate admin

Accreditation without rebuilding everything from scratch

Most established training providers already have the information CPD Ireland needs somewhere — on a website, in a course page, in trainer records or inside an LMS. The Portal helps you reuse it rather than recreate it.

Your company already has a website?

Paste it in. We can draft your provider profile and suggest suitable imagery for you to review and edit before publishing.

Your course already has a webpage?

Paste the URL. We can pre-fill supported course details in your private submission draft for you to check.

Use the same trainers across courses?

Add trainer details and evidence once to your Trainer Library, then select them wherever they are relevant.

Use the same attendance or evaluation process?

Save your standard methods once and reuse them across courses instead of uploading the same forms repeatedly.

Submitting a similar course?

Start from an existing course, create a separate private draft and update the content or evidence that is different.

Deliver through video or an LMS?

Give the assessor secure review access where appropriate. Large direct video uploads are not normally needed.

AI helps with administration, not accreditation: imported content is always review-only. You decide what to apply and submit; CPD Ireland assessors and Administration make the accreditation decision.

Accredit · Your Provider Portal

  • Import supported course-page details, reuse trainers and standard methods, or start from an existing course
  • Manage feedback and resubmissions
  • Access certificates, badge packs and approved descriptors

Issue verifiable learner certificates

Once a course is accredited, issue CPD Ireland-branded Certificates of CPD Completion individually or in bulk. Approved course details and CPD hours are controlled by CPD Ireland and added automatically.

  • Single learner or bulk CSV issuance
  • Unique certificate number, verification URL and QR code
  • Certificate history retained in the Provider Portal
  • MyCPD connection: eligible certificates can appear in the learner's private MyCPD record after email ownership is verified

The Provider verifies completion. CPD Ireland confirms the course accreditation and approved CPD hours; it does not assess or directly certify the learner.

Verify · What the learner receives

A tangible CPD record, not just a badge

The learner receives a CPD Ireland-branded Certificate of CPD Completion using the approved course details. Its unique certificate number, verification link and QR code lead to the existing CPD Ireland verification record.

  • Learner name, course and training provider
  • Completion date and approved CPD hours
  • Course accreditation number and unique certificate number
  • Online status that can show active, revoked or replaced records as applicable

The provider verifies participation/completion. CPD Ireland confirms the course accreditation record and provides the certificate verification infrastructure.

Record · MyCPD connection

Verified certificates can continue into the learner's own CPD record

Where the learner uses MyCPD and securely proves ownership of the email address used on an eligible certificate, that verified certificate can appear in their private record alongside CPD they record themselves.

Your own public CPD Ireland provider profile

Maintain your company bio, logo, website, contact details and services on a dedicated public CPD Ireland page and URL. It gives buyers and learners somewhere clear to understand who you are and see your accredited courses.

Set up quickly: paste your existing website into the Provider Portal to create suggested profile content and find suitable logo/image options, then review and edit everything before publishing.

Provider-managed: company profile content and contact information.

CPD Ireland-controlled: accreditation status, official provider identity, course records, approval numbers and approved CPD hours.

The public CPD Register remains the authoritative accreditation record.

What gets assessed

The CPD Ireland Course Accreditation Standard covers the full quality picture, not just presentation or course duration.

Purpose, content & outcomes

Clear CPD purpose, appropriate learning outcomes, credible content and professional relevance.

Learning design & evidence

Structure, materials, trainer credibility, learner engagement, verification and evaluation.

Integrity & governance

Genuine CPD hours, suitable presentation/accessibility, version control, evidence and accurate accreditation claims.

Read the public CPD Ireland Course Accreditation Standard. Acceptance of CPD hours by a professional body, employer or regulator remains subject to that body's own rules.

When changes are required

An Action Required finding is not an automatic rejection. CPD Ireland can release clear feedback, you can address the issue and resubmit revised evidence, and the previous review history is retained.

Irish-based. Independent standards.

CPD Ireland is based in Dublin and focused on providers operating in the Irish market. You get local support and context without compromising the independence or consistency of the accreditation decision.

Every course must meet the same published CPD Ireland Course Accreditation Standard.
