Clear provenance

One record. Two clear sources.

MyCPD keeps verified and self-recorded activity together without pretending they are the same thing.

CPD Ireland Verified

The Provider verified that you completed the training. CPD Ireland confirms the named course was accredited and carried the stated approved CPD hours.

Self-recorded CPD

Add courses, webinars, events, reading, research and other professional development completed outside CPD Ireland. These activities remain clearly marked as learner-entered and are not independently validated by CPD Ireland.

Annual CPD record

See totals by year and download a professional PDF record that keeps Verified and Self-recorded activity clearly distinguished.

Verified certificates

From completion to your CPD record

When a provider issues a CPD Ireland learner certificate, its unique verification route can independently confirm the certificate record. If you use MyCPD and prove ownership of the email address used on that certificate, eligible verified certificates can appear in your private record.

Learner nameCourseProviderCompletion dateApproved CPD hoursCourse accreditation numberCertificate number & status
1Your training provider verifies completion and issues the certificate.
2CPD Ireland confirms the course accreditation and approved CPD hours.
3After secure email verification, the certificate can appear in MyCPD.

The provider verifies learner completion. CPD Ireland confirms the course accreditation record and provides the verification infrastructure. CPD Ireland does not assess, examine or directly certify the individual learner.

Possession of a verification link alone does not attach a certificate to an account. Email ownership must be verified.

What MyCPD gives you

  • Verified certificates can appear automatically after email ownership is proved
  • Keep CPD hours and activity history in one place
  • Add external CPD with optional private supporting evidence
  • Download verified certificate PDFs again
  • Generate an annual CPD record for your own use

Your record stays private

There is no public learner profile or learner directory. Providers cannot see your MyCPD record, other providers' certificates, self-recorded CPD or private supporting evidence.

Self-recorded CPD is learner-entered and is not independently validated by CPD Ireland. MyCPD is a record-keeping service and does not determine whether you have met the requirements of an employer, regulator, professional body or membership organisation. Read how CPD requirements work in Ireland.
