Specialist assessor network

Join the CPD Ireland Assessor Panel

Help us maintain credible, independent CPD accreditation by bringing your professional expertise to specialist course reviews.

Who we're looking for

Experienced professionals with clear specialist expertise

We are building a broader network of specialists who can support course reviews where subject-matter expertise is appropriate. Candidates may include experienced trainers, consultants, academics, senior practitioners, professional advisers, assessors, retired or semi-retired experts, and L&D professionals with specialist subject knowledge.

Assignments depend on course subject, availability, provider demand and conflict checks. We do not imply that every course needs a specialist content reviewer; the panel helps CPD Ireland match appropriate expertise to a course where needed.

What assessors do

Structured findings, not an informal opinion

Depending on the assignment, assessors may review learning outcomes, audience suitability, course structure and materials, trainer credibility, learning activities, duration and CPD hours, participation evidence, assessment and evaluation methods, presentation quality, and subject-specific content within their professional expertise.

Assessors use the CPD Ireland assessment framework and may recommend accreditation, actions or changes, or that accreditation should not be granted. Final accreditation governance remains with CPD Ireland.

Independence & confidentiality

  • Act impartially and provide evidence-based feedback
  • Declare actual or potential conflicts before accepting work
  • Decline assignments where independence could reasonably be questioned
  • Keep provider materials confidential and use them only for the assessment
  • Apply CPD Ireland's assessment criteria consistently
